Junko Mizuno & Spider-man!!

Marvel's Strange Tales TBP will be out in March and it features some of their greatest characters being re drawn by different artists.

One of them being, Junko Mizuno!! I found some sample pages on Marvel.com of her drawing Spider-man.

I love her art and I'm now more tempted to pick up this book.

I still need to pick up the My Little Pony she designed!

Dear Spider living in my comic box,

For some unknown reason, you have made a home out of one of my comic book boxes. I’m thinking it’s the Deadpool.

I understand the awesomeness of Deadpool but I request that you stop biting me every

time I disturb the boxes to file my new issues.

I’d be mad too if someone came in and bugged me as I was reading but if you continue to bite me, I will be forced to bring out the spray can.

I already have a deadly afraidness of Spiders and for some reason, you make a home out of my boxes but once again I ask of you

PLEASE STOP BITING ME WHEN I FILE NEW ISSUES!!

Harley

My biggest pet peeve is seeing comics that use to be in the Dollar bin last year, now going for 30 bucks or more.

I’m trying to finish my collection of Harley Quinn’s solo run and the 5 part Gotham Girl series.

For the last few years, Anything Harley was in the two dollar, one dollar or 50 cent bins. About 2 months ago, a new series started with Harley, Ivy, and Catwoman.

Now anything and everything Harley is going for big bucks. No one had her cover of Gotham Girls last year. This year, everyone had her but for way more. When I asked one guy if he had the other issues, he didn’t even know the series. He didn’t know it was a 5 part issue or who was in it. He just had it priced at 30 because Harley was on the cover.

Harley and Ivy was a 3 issue run and from what I heard, it didn’t do so well. I found it 2 years back for a buck… all 3 issues. I saw the first issue going for 40.

Don’t even get me started on MAD LOVE.

It’s the same with Deadpool. He was all over the 2 buck bin but now, even his new stuff can run you a pretty penny. His action figure with the gloop was going for 100-120 every where.

Harley’s DC Universe figure was going for 30 and up. I found one dealer selling it for 20. I grabbed it. Hasbro sold it for 9.99 so 20 isn’t too bad. If I had ordered it from the site, it would be that price with shipping. It happened with the Deadpool figure on Hasbro site. $6.99 for him but 6 bucks for shipping.

That’s the second market for you.

The local comic book store is having a "50% off the entire store" sale until the 15th.

Jaime and I went to check it out and managed to get all of the missing issues from the current Deadpool run, I got the first 4 issues of Runaways, and 1 issue from Generation X.

I need three more to complete Generation X!! I'm gonna try and hit the store again later this week to search for more back issues.

I still need to finish Runaways, Gotham Girls, and Harley Quinn. I'm also collecting Deadpool's first solo run but Al's Comics didn't have any AT ALL.

Have I mentioned I have a fangirl crush on Deadpool?

No? Well, I do. I can not wait for the Wolverine Origins film.

I went to the Vacaville outlets yesterday with the girls. I didn't spend as much as I thought I was going too.

I bought a new Coach purse which had started out at about 350 and my final price was 100 bucks. I picked up some Lancome nail polish and Juicy tube for 10 bucks a piece. My friend says the Juicy Tubes retail for at least 20 something. I stopped by Harry & David and bought some pancake mix and chips & salsa! The mango salsa is yummy!

I also found a birthday present for Lilli. Her birthday is today, she turns 5 but Jaime won't get her till the 18th. We are taking her to Chuck E, Cheese. I bought her a pair of jeans and a neat Disney Princess Art/Stamp kit. The kit was 14 but I got it for 3.

That was it for this weekend. Right, we're just being lazy. We had talked about watching a movie but never moved.

Oh, we did watch WATCHMEN, Friday night. It was an amazing movie. I really liked it. The soundtrack was awesome. I think they did a good job bringing the comic to the big screen.

I can not wait for this film. Please let it be good!!!

Also, Resident Evil Degeneration comes out on DVD on the the 30th!!

I recently started downloading podcasts off of iTunes. Mainly comic podcasts.

I listen to "I read comics" which is hosted by a girl! I love how not only she talks about recent stuff but also older things. She even includes Yaoi manga in her shows. Oh gay porn I love you.

I just grabbed Around Comics. It's a group of guys talking about comics. So far, I'm liking them. Right now the eppy I'm listening to, they are talking about Wildstrom releasing the online Heroes comic into a hardcover collection.

I also added a podcast from Cartoon Network. It's an interview with the creator of "Foster's Home" and The 10th Wonder which is about Heroes. I need to catch up on LOST season 3 before I try to find a podcast about them.

Anyways, my main point for this blog is because I realized how much of a fool I must look like laughing. I was listening to an eppy of "Around Comics" while walking through Chinatown and I was laughing my ass off. I noticed people staring at me as I stood at the corner waiting for the light laughing.

I wasn't on the phone. I wasn't with a friend. I was alone with headphones on...

laughing to myself.

I want to host my own podcast show.
